Erwin Blumenfeld – Provocative Creative Genius
One of my favourite photographers Erwin Blumenfeld – Born jewish in Germany and emigrated to Paris where he was later taken to a concentration camp, he created some brilliant collages mocking Hitler. In 1949 he escaped to the USA where he began shooting for Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue and his fashion photography career began. In the 1960′s he created a biography which nobody would publish as it was too ironic towards society – definitely one to read!
